About Ras Al Khaimah International Airport
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport was established in 1976 by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the late Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Over the years, the airport has operated safely and efficiently, benefiting from constant advancements in passenger, cargo, and aircraft technologies.
Located approximately 18 kilometers from the city, the airport features modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, including a 3,760-meter-long runway that can accommodate the largest aircraft currently in operation. The airport currently consists of two passenger terminal buildings, a cargo terminal facility, runways, a hangar, a fuel farm, a firefighting station, aircraft maintenance facilities, access roads, vehicle exits, and a flight training facility.
